When we are vibrating at a higher level we feel lighter and happier - physically, emotionally and mentally. But when our vibrations are low, we can start to feel negative emotions like - sadness, low self-esteem, jealousy, frustration. In this blog i have chosen a few ways that can help you raise your vibrations and feel more positive.
Meditation:
A lot of spiritual people choose to meditate, because it helps them to disconnect from reality, clear their mind and to connect with a higher power. This is so they can receive intuitive messages & information that will assist them with things going on in their life.
But you don’t have to be spiritual to meditate! Meditation is just a way to go inwards.. to reflect, to understand and acknowledge our thoughts, and feelings. It helps us to clear negative energy, to release mental blocks. And studies say, that it helps to reduce stress, anxiety and depression.
Even setting intentions before the meditation, focusing on your breath and using positive affirmations can help with the meditation process.
Gratitude:
When we are grateful for what we already have, the universe will provide us with more things to be grateful for. Because we are busy with our day to day lives, it is easy for us to forget about what we are grateful for, and what is most important to us.
Coming up with a list of things you are grateful for is great, but it is also important to ask yourself why you are grateful for these things, and what your life may look like without them.
Move your body:
Exercise and movement can raise our vibrations very quickly. The more active you are, the more energy begins to flow through your body. Whether it is running, walking, swimming, dancing, practicing yoga etc. Moving your body is great for your physical and mental health.
Sometimes you may feel so tired, drained and burnt out and don't feel up to even just go for a walk! But moving your body will help you feel more motivated, energised and it puts you in a more positive headspace.
Practice Kindness:
Acts of kindness are simple ways we can spread love and positivity to others around us - and you will quickly find out that it makes you feel good in return. Can you remember a time when you were kind to someone, and you immediately felt good after? Like you felt like you really accomplished something good for that person. This is because when we are kind to someone, it makes us feel good that we were able to be there for someone else. The best way to practice kindness, is without expecting anything in return. A little kindness, really goes a long way.
Get Creative:
Find a creative activity that you enjoy, and express yourself through it! It could be learning an instrument, singing, dancing, painting, even cooking etc. Not only are you doing something that is fun and that you enjoy, but you are also doing something that releases stress, boosts your self esteem, and improves your mood.. which again, raises your vibrations!
Reiki / energy healing:
Reiki is a type of energy healing, which involves non - invasive, gentle touch. A reiki practitioner is able to tune into your energy and clear pathways, release blocks, and charge your energetic field -with positive, light and healing energy. Which will help you feel more balanced, energised and relaxed. And it also helps reduce any physical pain and tension in the body.
Find your community:
People need people, it’s what keeps us going and gives us a sense of connectedness - finding your community can really help with this. Find people that lift and build you up, that are aligned with your values and beliefs, have similar interests as you, who support you, and want the best for you. Who push you to reach your full potential. If you have people around you who constantly put you down, make you uncomfortable, use you or cause you stress - then this can really affect your mental health and your energy.
I’m not going to lie, It can be difficult to find the right people. But, putting yourself out there can really help. Like attending social groups, taking classes, playing sport, going to spiritual groups, book clubs etc. And thanks to the world we live in today, we have the internet! Social media, online groups, apps also help with connecting with the right people.
